The tea is macerated and filtered to obtain a distillate with a balanced and delicate aroma. Handcrafted in small batches at our Hamburg distillery.

Knut Hansen Earl Grey & Bergamot Dry Gin

The gin is named after the legendary Norwegian sailor Knut, a young man who decided to travel the world from Hamburg and didn't let anything or anyone stop him. He took the liberty of going to the places he always wanted to see, experiencing countless adventures. The latest, most challenging and daring, was putting his face on our bottle and setting off again, traveling the world again!

It all begins in Hamburg, Germany, located where the Alster and Bille rivers flow into the Elbe, which flows 110 km northwest into the North Sea. The idea was born from two young men, Kaspar and Martin, who wanted to develop a one-of-a-kind product.

The initial aroma is a harmony of citrus notes, thanks to the bergamot and the fragrance of Earl Grey tea. The freshness of the gin blends with floral and spicy touches, creating an enveloping and complex fragrance. On the palate, the gin offers a balanced flavor with a base of juniper and classic botanicals, enhanced by the light sweetness of bergamot and the liveliness of Earl Grey tea. The finish is fresh, delicate, yet persistent. Botanicals include juniper, coriander, angelica, orris root, and a blend of aromatic herbs, with the addition of Earl Grey tea and bergamot peel, giving the gin a unique and distinctive character.
