The Rum Collection Diploma No. 1 Single Kettle Batch is the limited edition of a fine rum, produced with the aim of presenting to the buyers different types of spirits, each derived from their own single still. The first to produce this rum was the LUSA distillery in Venezuela, which in 2002 was purchased by DUSA, a group of entrepreneurs.
The company's philosophy applies to every single product. The main ingredients of the rum are selected with extreme care by the distillery staff, while the different stages of processing are carried out according to sustainable methods, to respect the Venezuelan territory and ecosystem. Among the great rums produced by single stills, we find the Collection No. 1 Single Kettle Batch.

This distillate, characterized by the number 1 (which indicates the type of distillation), comes from the distillation of sugar cane, very widespread in Venezuela, carried out through the alembic Batch Kettle.
This type of copper alembic still dates back to the 50s and is of a discontinuous type. It uses a method of production that is called "pot-still", ie double distillation and another method of rectification column.
Finally, the rum is placed in white oak barrels of American origin for a minimum of six years, for the final phase of aging.
The result is a unique product, of which there are very few specimens and that is suitable for true fans of the genre, who want to have the opportunity to taste a specific method of distillation of sugar cane.
