1 BOTTLE X 100 cl.

France’s no.3 spirit, Pastis 51 is the authentic pastis created and produced in Marseille. It is made with natural anise flavouring and through its fresh taste is a popular aperitif. This classic brand from the South of France has always retained a contemporary touch.

HISTORY AND KNOW-HOW

Created in 1951 when the ban on anise-based aperitifs was lifted in France, Pernod 51 took the name Pastis 51 in 1954. It became the Pernod company’s leading brand in 1968. The 51 bottle was given a cleaner, stripped-back and more masculine look in 2009.

RANGE AND TASTING

The famous cocktail 51 Piscine (‘swimming pool’), invented in 2010, has to be made with a Piscine ‘Tabas’ glass (created by Marseille designer Cédric Mallo) and a 51 Piscine carafe. Pour 2cl Pastis 51, add 7cl water, finish with a cascade of ice cubes and serve.
