The marriage of green tea and mint hails from north Africa – and it’s still incredibly popular there today. These two leaves go particularly well together, creating a really refreshing tea that’s light and lively.
As with so many blends, it’s all about the quality of the ingredients. We use our flagship green tea, which hails from the Zhejiang Province in Eastern China. It’s a variety of green tea called sencha, which is dried using steam, a process which is kind and gentle to the leaves and helps to preserve their delicate flavour.
We match that with mint leaves with a high mint oil content, giving a potent mint flavour that tastes fresh and lively. And we amplify that with the flavour of caramel, for a hint of the sweetness that’s so beloved in Moroccan mint tea, without the added sugar.
