Renato Keber's Zegla was born from the ambition to fully express the potential of Friulano, with grapes from the Zegla vineyards, considered among the finest in Collio. The project, which also involves Michele Blazic and Kristian Keber, aims to promote the Zegla vineyards as crus within the appellation. Friulano Zegla follows a rigorous production method: maceration on the skins, spontaneous fermentation with indigenous yeasts, and lengthy aging in oak barrels and stainless steel. This wine stands out for its body, structure, complexity, and longevity, with aromas of dried fruit, honey, and spices, and a deep, fresh, and mineral palate, with great aging potential.
Vinification takes place in concrete and stainless steel with aging on the lees, enhancing the integrity of the fruit and the natural minerality of the marl soil.
On the nose, it offers elegant aromas of white flowers, ripe fruit, and hints of aromatic herbs, while on the palate it is full-bodied and harmonious, supported by a vibrant freshness and a long, saline finish.
Ideal with rich fish dishes, white meats, risottos, and medium-aged cheeses.
