A rum entirely aged in a tropical climate, in 500-liter barrels ex-Sherry Oloroso and Pedro Ximénez of the highest quality, coming from some of the most famous bodegas of Andalusia. Contained in congeners of 1603.5 gr / hlpa, of which 394 gr / hlpa are esters.

Hampden Pagos is the first ever experiment in the world of 100% integral aging rum in ex-Sherry barrels. The idea was born in 2014, following the Sherry butt scandal that had never entirely contained authentic Sherry, when Luca Gargano decided to involve one of the most renowned Jérez bodegas: in 2017 Lustau then delivered Sherries to Hampden 500-liter European oak butt that had contained for 3 years Oloroso Pata de Gallina and Pedro Jiménez of the highest quality. Hampden has thus used these perfectly seasoned Sherry Butt to age its pure single rum in a tropical climate. The result is a perfect marriage between an intense and unique rum and the best Sherry butt. It is the beginning of a new era in the long and glorious history of Hampden, which has been active since 1753 in Trelawny, in the grand cru of Jamaican rum.

Pagos takes its name from the definition of parcels and terroir in the Sherry tradition: an unmistakable aromatic profile, a genuine rum that needs no tricks: strictly without added sugars.
